February 20, 2008: I have started a new book called "Why Revival Tarries" by Leonard Ravenhill. This book
comes highly recommended. The thought that has captivated my thinking this morning is "We have too many
dead men in the pulpits giving out too many dead sermons to too many dead people" I don't want to be dead nor
live and worship just going through the motions. Pray that we don't do Church but that we can become the living
Church with power from on high. Amen?!
February 23, 2008: I got news today that Marvin Gerling was not doing well. I then received news that Ron
Ziehms dad passed away this morning. I am reminded that our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little time
then we vanish away. I am also brought to the reality that I have become the next generation. With the time that
we have left what will we do to redeem the time? What will we do that will make a difference for all eternity? It was
wonderful to watch Marvin's children. I could go around the room in my mind and know that every child of Marvin
and Vera have trusted Christ as their savior. That is a wonderful thing to have written about you, Marvin and
Vera can say "my family knew Jesus because I introduced them to Him". Have you introduced anyone to Christ?
February 29, 2008 Last week we thought God was calling Marvin home, this week we rejoice in how God has
healed his body and mind. What a wonderful miracle to watch unfold.
We began the year on Sunday mornings asking God to break and change our hearts. We continue to pray and
seek revival. The last few weeks we have been considering change. Sunday we are looking at how to stay on the
spiritual path. Satan does not like it when our lives show God's love and mercy. We must be prepared to battle by
putting on the whole armor of God. Are you in whole heartedly for spiritual change? Let us stop playing church
and become children of the living God.
March 15, 2008 We have had an awesome Upward season. As a congregation we are thrilled to see what God is
doing at MBC. We have sent out over 200 DVD's to all of the Upward families. Monday we are praying to see God
work miracle heart transplants in many lives. More then any preference we may have concerning style of worship
we must remember our most important goal is to share Christ. Jesus Christ loves you .so very much that He came
to die on the cross for your sins. Allow God to make a spiritual change in your life that will last for all eternity

We had a great Easter service with 130 in the 8 AM service where Kaleb Krueger did an awesome job for the Lord.
We had 260 in the 10:40 AM service with nearly 200 people having breakfast. It is good that we had expanded the
one side of the Sanctuary. I praise God for the way He is working at MBC. We had Pam Scott and her daughter come
to join the Church on Sunday. I want to challenge us to live in the Power of the resurrection this week. Remember it is
the power to Save, Seal, serve, sever sin and the power to silent Satan. Have an awesome week!

I have been blessed by a ministry called "The Way of The Master. It is an awesome Bible centered ministry that looks to
bring salvation to many through a biblical approach. There is not easy belief-ism found on their web page. I encourage
you to go to their web page and check them out. They also have a wonderful Bible called the "Evidence Bible" . Let me
know what you think.

Busy! How can we do what we are to do when there are so many things in our way? Prioritize your life or your life will
be filled with "busy-ness". As we look at parenting principles on Sunday Mornings I am challenged to prioritize my time
so that the family is not lost. What or who do you need to say no to in order to get back what you know to be important.
No excuses do the right thing! God will give us the wisdom and strength to serve Him and to do the right thing.
Remember if your load is too heavy it was not placed their by Christ. His load is easy, when we walk with Him.

We had a great time serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Ghana, West Africa. The trip was a very awesome
time of bringing in the harvest as well as planting seeds. We helped start five new works in five villages. How
wonderful it is to see entire villages come to Christ at the invitation. Pray for these new works as we train leaders and
reach out into nearby villages.
We also had a great week of doing medical work. We were able to see and treat over 2,000 people. Many of these
people have never seen a doctor nor have they ever had anyone care for their physical needs. I am so thankful for
the team of 18 that God place together to go on this wonderful trip. I am also very grateful I was able to share this
great experience with my 13 year old daughter Janay.
We give God all the praise, Honor and Glory!!!

Memorial Baptist Church is an active church with an expanding outreach. Last Sunday, we began another semester
of AWANA.
On Tuesday, the 13th, the ladies began a new Bible Study, "The Excellent Wife", at the Johnson Ranch which will
continue for 20 weeks. The ladies meet each Tuesday beginning at 7pm.
We voted Sunday to start the "Angel Food Ministry". Application to be a Host Site is underway.
Upward Basketball has started and the first game day is rapidly approaching.
We are continually reaching out to families through our "We Care Teams".
Many members are busy renovating our sanctuary. Much is happening because the Church is a busy body of
called out believers.
We do all of these things and more as we continually "Seek God." We want to grow and glorify God in all we do.
We want to also "Serve God". We look to use our gifts within the body of Christ, by ministering to one another.
Lastly, we want to "Share God".
We greatest desire is for people to know that Jesus Christ is Lord and He loves them. Jesus Christ died to bring
spiritual life to people that are dead in sin. These three statements give a good overview to who we are and what
we are about. Come seek, serve and share Christ with us at Memorial Baptist Church, where God is at work.

I have been challenged during the message Sunday about the phrase “God is good”. Now I believe God is good, all
the time; God is good. Scripture teaches us that God does give us good things. My troubled spirit comes from what
people mean by the statement “God is good”. Most people really mean God gave me what I wanted.
Self-centered receiving from God is a problem and we need to know God is good when problems are in our life. Maybe
the best way to look at life is not God is good, but God is love. No matter what you are going through God loves you.
God loves you unconditionally and for all eternity. When you repent and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord
and Savior you rest your life in the unconditional love of God. We need to put love in its proper perspective; it does not
cancel out the wrath or the judgment of God. God still hates our sin and wants to perfect us in Christ. But with every
chastisement from the hand of God we are assured that our heavenly Father loves us and gave His life for us. We are
assured when we correct our ways His loving arms are wrapped around us. As we humble ourselves and draw closer to
God, God draws Himself closer to us. We all should be so thankful we can rest in God’s eternal and unconditional love
for me.
